• Does the program guarantee employment after completion of the courses?

    We do not guarantee employment, however we provide hands on assistance with resume development, job searching, letters of recommendation, and ongoing support for students who have completed a certification program.

  • What is the mentor program?

    At, UTCG we offer a wide range of educational courses and seminars to help individuals jump start their careers in the IT field. As a part of the mentor program, individuals will be allotted a mentor for one-on-one encounters as well as to provide guidance and support throughout various courses and employment endeavors.

  • I am new to Networking; which course will be best to assist me with fully understanding the industry?

    At UTCG, we offer a free 2-week course for beginners that covers troubleshooting a home network, basic commands, wireless issues, and network connectivity and devices. We also offer Network Basics which is a more in-depth course with hands on training.

  • Are there any benefits to being enrolled in a Cisco Collaboration Engineer program like the one at UTCG?

    Definitely! Once you enroll in courses at UTCG, you become a Cisco Collaboration Engineering student. As such, you will have indefinite access to numerous resources to help you be successful.   • What is the CCNP Collaboration certification?

    A new Professional-Level certification for collaboration and unified communications network engineers who want develop advanced collaboration skills designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco Collaboration and Unified communications applications, devices and networks, the Cisco CCNP Collaboration certification is a job-role focused training and certification program that will expand your skills and ability to deliver business value.

  • Why is Cisco introducing the CCNP Collaboration certification?

    Multiple trends are converging, e.g. mobile and dispersed workers, video communication proliferation. Job roles are converging, e.g. voice and video job roles converged to become the collaboration job role. The CCNP Collaboration certification addresses this convergence.

  • What are the prerequisites for the CCNP Collaboration certification?

    A valid CCNA Collaboration certification or any CCIE certification is a prerequisite for the CCNP Collaboration certification. It is also recommended that you have 5–7 years of experience working in some unified communications, voice, video, and/or collaboration network environment.

  • Does UTCG offer any work experience?

    The Internship Program at UTCG provides work experience opportunities for students. There are very few intern positions available for networking students. Typically, a student needs to complete at least 50% of their core coursework before being considered for an internship. However, completion of CCNA courses may quality someone for an intern position.

  • If I have some experience, can I skip the first CCNA course

    It is possible, but you will have to take the final exam (both written and hands-on) for any course you want to skip. You must get a grade of 80% or better on the finals to be considered for advanced placement. Contact a representative at training@unifiedtcg.com for individualized inquiries. This should be done at least 2-weeks prior to the start of the course.

  • Will there be hands-on experience with Cisco products?

    Most definitely! You will be working either individually or in small groups with networking cabling/media and various models of routers, switches, and other networking devices used throughout the IT industry. A lot of your class time will be spent in hands-on learning activities.

  • Will I be prepared to take the certification exam after completion of the preparation program?

    You will cover all the information you need to be successful on the exams within the courses. After completion of a program, it is recommended to do some additional studying and reviewing before taking the exam. It is recommended to wait no more than 4 – 6 weeks before scheduling your exam.

  • What are the prices per course?

  • What days and times are classes held?

    All courses are on-site at pre-determined locations on the course starting date, and will meet every other Saturday on-site from 10 am to 1 pm. Thereafter, classes will be held remotely on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 6 pm and 8 pm via webex.
